Born in Albania and raised in New York City, Orges Bakalli began making films at a very young age. Ranging from documentaries to fiction films, Orges’ work has screened at the Cannes Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives, MoMA, and BAM, and aired on PBS Channel 13, NYC Life, and BRIC TV. His last short film “MY NAME IS SOMEBODY,” screened at countless festivals around the globe and won many awards, including the Emerging Filmmaker Award at the 2018 Queens World Film Festival, and was nominated for the Outstanding Filmmaking award by the National Board of Review. Orges has worked for such auteurs as Darren Aronofsky, Martin Scorsese, and the Safdie Brothers. He is currently in development of his first feature, "THE NOUGHTIES", a crime epic based on true events that occurred in the neighborhood he grew up in Queens.
